MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL STETHSONIANS!
ON BEHALF OF THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OF THE STETHS ALUMNI ASSOCIATION (USA) INC, OTHERWISE CALLED THE NEW YORK CHAPTER, I WANT TO SAY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND BEST WISHES FOR THE HOLIDAY SEASON!
To all STETHSTONIONS , Just to let you know that one of our peers , Diana Malcolm-Campbell passed away in Brooklyn this week. May her soul Rest In Peace.
The funeral service will be on Saturday, November 19th at 3:00 pm at The Kingdom Hall, 176-04 133rd Road off Farmers Blvd in Queens.
The Annual General Meeting was held on Saturday, November 5th. Twelve alumni attended the meeting. The Election of Officers was postponed until Saturday, December 5th, because the Director of Elections was not present.
CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THOSE WHO HELPED TO MAKE THE 2011 DINNER-DANCE A HUGE SUCCESS! PICTURES WILL BE POSTED SOON!!
Paul James from the NY chapter has copies of the 1981 magazine for sale. He will be taking orders at the dinner-dance. Cost is $50.00 per copy.

We would like to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who contributed to the Penn Relays fund 2011. We achieved our target of $4,000.00!

April 29-30 - Penn Relays week-end
June 23 - 26 - 2011 reunion: STETHS 50th anniversary
July 16th - annual picnic. (*date to be confirmed with the Westchester Parks Department).
October 8th - annual dinner dance: 50th anniversary event
November 5th - Annual General Meeting and Election of Officers
December 10th - Christmas Party 2011
A bus ride is also planned, but no date has been set as yet. The chapter is also open to supporting any additional events that the members suggest during the course of the year.
The "Lose FIVE for the 50th campaign" is ongoing as also is our membership drive.
January 1, 2011...A New Year begins and with this year we look forward to new challenges and more success than we had in 2010. Best Wishes to all!
The NY chapter is issuing a challenge to all to join our Lose Five for 50 Campaign. The goal is to get many Sonians to sign up and commit to losing at least five pounds prior to the 50th Anniversary week in June. The biggest loser will get a prize. If you wish to join The Campaign please send me your name, date of birth and current weight. You will receive a weekly e-news letter with tips on diet and exercise and we will track our progress together.
